Made from super-soft silk velvet, Lane is crafted using traditional ikat techniques — a centuries-old resist-dyeing process that originated in Central Asia. In this method, threads are wrapped around a frame and individually tied off with pigment-resistant palm fibers before dyeing and weaving. With each dye color, fibers are added or removed to create colorful and uniquely intricate motifs. Bold and hypnotic, Lane is patterned with a series of concentric squares in monochromatic black and cream. We’ve finished it with neutral linen backing, a hidden zipper closure and a plush down and feather insert.
