This beautiful blanket was made in collaboration with Tensira — a celebrated textile house founded by a Guinean and Finnish husband-and-wife duo that blends Scandinavian aesthetics with ancestral West African weaving and dyeing techniques. We dreamt up Keaton’s scaled-up plaid motif in-house, drawing on simple, classic Scandinavian designs and the fresh indigo and white color scheme found on traditional African cloth. Tensira’s team of skilled craftswomen then brought our design to life using cotton that was spun and woven by hand and indigo-dyeing techniques that have been passed down for generations. The end result is a soft, lightweight bedcover that perfectly balances European elegance with global authenticity.
