Description
Our Darma Stool is a striking tribute to traditional Indonesian craftsmanship. Handcrafted from sustainable suar wood on the island of Java, Darma is carved into a dimensional, gear-like silhouette that’s inspired by old-school tools once used in the sugar making process. Borrowing from an ancient wood-burning practice, this unique shape is coated with several layers of a squid ink and shellac mixture, which is charred while still wet to create a deep charcoal black finish. Perfect for bringing a global-chic feel to any space, our versatile Darma is great for backup seating but can also double as a sculptural side or coffee table in a boho-modern living room.
