Pairing a 19th century-inspired pottery design with a delightful swirling motif, the Marbled Teapot looks lovely alongside almost any serveware collection. The story starts in renowned ceramicist Astier de Villatte’s Paris workshop, where this delicate piece is handcrafted from black terracotta following old-school techniques passed down for generations. Rather than the brand’s signature milky white glaze, however, its exterior is patterned with a reproduction of a multi-colored vintage marbled endpaper, taken from celebrated designer John Derian’s expansive collection of antique images. Perfectly imperfect, we think it would make a wonderfully unique addition to any tabletop or tea service.
