Simple yet stunning, this gorgeous bedding collection comes to us from India, where each piece is crafted from start to finish by skilled local artisans and purchased employing the principles of Fair Trade. Woven from soft, hand-spun cotton, each textile is indigo-dyed following the Japanese art of shibori — an ancient resist-dyeing technique in which fabric is tied off in sections, dipped in dye and sun-dried to create one-of-a-kind motifs. The result is a beautiful dark blue hue, patterned with a delicate, tie-dye like stripes. A row of large tasseled fringe on either ends gives these blankets the perfect touch of texture and boho-chic charm. Care Instructions
Indigo-dyed textiles will age gracefully, slightly fading over time with washing and exposure to sunlight. Due to the natural characteristics of indigo, color may transfer to furniture or clothing. Take extra care to avoid contact with lighter colored fabrics. To clean, wash separately in cold water with a delicate detergent. Do not over soak or use bleach. To dry, lay flat or place in the shade. Dry clean safe.
