A short-lived and almost forgotten decorative art, domino papers were ornate hand-blocked papers used to line boxes, books and the walls of small alcoves and corridors in 18th-century homes, created by France’s guild of paper makers, or

. Founded by a pair of heritage restorers, Antoinette Poisson is dedicated to preserving the
dominotiers
’ traditional print-making techniques while also reviving an appreciation for their historic craft. A reproduction of an original mid-18th century design, Canton is patterned with colorful florals, birds and butterflies on a neutral cream ground. We’ve paired it with a simple brown cord, which completes its vintage feel while also allowing you to adjust its drop from the ceiling.
